In 2017, Red Barrels released Outlast 2, the sequel to one of the scariest horror games ever made. This time, the dark corridors of a psychiatric hospital are replaced with the vast, eerie landscapes of rural Arizona, yet the feeling of helplessness remains stronger than ever. Players take on the role of journalist Blake Langermann, who, along with his wife Lynn, is investigating the mysterious murder of a pregnant woman. After their helicopter crashes, Blake finds himself stranded in a remote village inhabited by religious fanatics. Lynn is kidnapped, and Blake must navigate this nightmarish place, filled with cruelty and madness, to find her.
