Mafia 2 is the sequel to the cult game Mafia, released in 2010 by 2K Czech. The second installment of the series about the criminal world of America immerses us once again in the atmosphere of the 1940s, following the life of a new protagonist, Vito Scaletta. The game, like its predecessor, combines action and adventure elements, plunging the player into the era of the Great Depression and post-war years, where the main character strives to escape poverty while being drawn into the world of crime and corruption. Mafia 2 retained the atmosphere and realism of the first part but introduced numerous new elements, such as improved graphics, gameplay, and mechanics. However, despite external progress, the game remained true to the spirit of its predecessor — a brutal crime story about a man who is, in one way or another, part of the criminal system.
