Assassin’s Creed 1 takes players to the 12th century, during the Third Crusade. The main protagonist of the game is Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad, an assassin who, after the failure of a crucial mission, is stripped of his position within the organization and must restore his reputation by carrying out various tasks to eliminate “unworthy” individuals who threaten peace and order. Throughout the game, Altaïr encounters famous historical figures like Richard the Lionheart and Saladin, which makes the narrative even more immersive and rich in historical events.
